The Centre for Comparative Genomics (CCG) is a Western Australian State Government Centre of Excellence. The Centre houses the newly created national Australia Bioinformatics Facility and the iVEC Informatics Facility and is an international leader in the field of Comparative Genomics research and development. The Centre integrates and utlises world-class bioinformatics and information technology to support leading edge biomedical and agricultural research. As a result of the rapid expansion of the Centre there are several opportunities for highly motivated and talented people to join the Centre’s dynamic team.


Software Developer - Ref: 1374C12

Currently there are several opportunities for highly motivated and talented software developers to join the Centre's established software development team. Software Developers will play a key role in the Centre's strategic software development projects which utilise high performance computing infrastructure and scientific expertise.

This represents a unique opportunity for candidates to join a Linux/Unix friendly development environment with like minded peers who are passionate about the software development process.

Key requirements for the position are:

- 3 years experience in developing Internet based applications
- Highly proficient in Perl or Python
- Proficient in Linux/Unix environments

Manager – Ref: 0150A15

The Manager will be responsible for the day to day operations of the Centre and will play a pivotal role in coordinating the Centre's administrative activities, financial management and communications strategy. Applicants must possess significant experience in management/administration at a senior level in addition to a demonstrated commitment to the delivery of high quality client service.
